Here we are in the middle of south-central Pennsylvania, just off the Turnpike. This is a very nice campground (see picture), with lots of trees and green grass, plus a few small ponds.

We're only a short day's drive away from our next major stopping point in New Jersey, and in the old days, we probably would have pressed on to arrive by evening. Today, we're older and smarter, however, so we stopped in time for cocktails and a nice supper, and will do the last run into New Jersey tomorrow.

We had a great visit with Karen and Sandi's cousins, Joann and Don Bundy, and their daughter Joy, at their condo just north of Columbus, Ohio. Lots of old pictures, reminiscences, and family gossip--plus a very nice pork barbeque and cole slaw dinner. Thanks, folks--it was fun. We stayed at a nearby Ohio State Park, in amongst woods, a lake, and empty campsites (all the weekend campers had left!). We left this morning about 8:15 and headed off across the flat, then rolling farmland of eastern Ohio, into a piece of the West Virginia panhandle at Wheeling, and then hilly western Pennsylvania.

After tomorrow, we'll spent some time at my brother's, sort through some of Mom's stuff, and gather for a memorial and celebration for Mom on Saturday. Sunday morning, we'll head north for Vermont and home.
