Southern Minnesota
Thursday, July 31st

Driving through prosperous looking farmland in southern Minnesota, we make it through a nasty storm--pouring rain and gusty winds--nearly stopping for it to blow over. But every time we looked for a spot to pull over, it let up for a while, so we pressed on. After the storm we noticed the three main crops in this part of Minnesota--soybeans, corn, and wind towers. We saw scores of the largest type of tower and blades--maybe a hundred--and more being built.
